Job Description

Plan, prepare, and present both local and intercontinental dishes to cater to a diverse clientele.

Design and update menus that balance traditional favorites with international specialties.

Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring consistent quality and efficient service.

Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.

Maintain inventory, order supplies, and control kitchen costs while minimizing waste.

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.

Innovate and introduce new recipes to enhance the hotel’s culinary offerings.

Collaborate with hotel management to align menus with events, seasons, and guest preferences.

Monitor portion sizes and food presentation for consistency.

Manage kitchen equipment, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and safe for use.

Proven experience as a Chef in a hotel or high-standard restaurant.

Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of local and intercontinental cuisines.

Strong background in menu planning, food costing, and kitchen management.

Required Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field.

Certification in Food Safety & Hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is an advantage.

Passion for hospitality and culinary excellence.

High standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Physical stamina for long working hours in a busy kitchen.
